Autoblog Praises 2018 Expedition as Roomy & Modern

The 2018 Ford Expedition is due to arrive at Encinitas Ford this fall. It will be the Expedition's first major redesign in two decades, adding an aluminum body that shaves a net 300 pounds from the full-size SUV.

Sounds a lot like the new F-150, and it is—at least when it comes to the underlying architecture. The 2018 Expedition really sets itself apart from the pickup truck, and from segment rivals, when it comes to focusing on passengers.

The Expedition seats up to eight, and every seat has access to at least one USB port. There's a 110-volt outlet in the center of the second row, so everyone has easy access to charging. There's even an optional two-screen entertainment system for the second row, with live television streaming.

Autoblog particularly comments on how roomy it is. You might think any SUV this massive would qualify as "roomy," but the Chevy Tahoe only leaves third-row passengers with 24.8 inches of legroom. The Ford Expedition provides a third row viable for grown-ups, with 37.7 inches of legroom.
